Swinging Under The Stars Wedding

TIM & JESSICA YERGER: This venue was amazing!!! Tonya and Josh cared so much about every detail of our wedding and made our wedding perfect! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful to walk through, especially the waterfall area. Our theme was quite unique: we wanted a summer themed wedding with sunflowers and royal blues and greens but a 20's swing dance club feel for the reception. Tonya took on this challenge and made the venue flow seamlessly from one to the other! Josh even planted some giant sunflowers well before the wedding that blossomed the night before for us to use! They were so beautiful!! Tonya is also an amazing cook! The chicken fried steaks for our rehearsal dinner were so good!!! I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for an outdoor venue. The outdoor area is beautiful and the indoor option is equally as amazing. However, nothing tops the feeling of ease from knowing your venue is just as excited for your party as you are (if not more), and that they will work tirelessly to make your event special. Thank you Tonya and Josh for a once in a lifetime experience and for providing the setting for a perfect wedding!

Rescue Of Rainy Day Wedding

It was my son's wedding and it rained the whole day; but, thanks to Tonya and Josh Parks, it was a wonderfull event. I'm so happy we picked their venue.  The place is beautiful and Tonya was so helpful with everything.  Tonya cared so much that my kid would have a great wedding.  Everything was wonderful and everyone had a good time. Thank you so much Parks Place.  It was really a day to remember for ever more. You have it together, beautiful place, super organized and everything you need for a successful event. I attended the wedding of James and Sierra. The weather was cold and rainy. My son was in a motorized wheel chair.  They took such care of him even letting him back his vehicle all the way to the building where the wedding was and then let him leave his vehicle parked right by their home. Tonya and her husband and staff are awesome. Their place is beautiful. I would recommend their place for any venue you want to have. SIERRA - I could not have asked for a more BEAUTIFUL and perfect venue and couple who run it! We were accommodated for what feels like everything we could need or think about. The weather was not the best on our day, but Tonya and Josh were on the ball and already 3 steps ahead of us with a plan. She has SO MUCH TO OFFER! From decor, tables, chairs, and ALL the amenities onsite. My wedding day was a dream come true, thanks to a wonderful venue and people. I will recommend Tonya and Josh Parks to everyone!
JAMES - First and foremost the venue is beautiful! The owners were amazing! They helped every step of the way, kept us on track and helped us achieve the greatest day of our lives! The whole process was truly stress free for us. Even with a terrible thunderstorm on the day of the wedding they still managed to save everything and make our day as effortless as possible. I recommend this venue 100% to everybody! I cannot thank Tonya and Josh enough for everything they did!

Leap Day Cinderella Wedding

Like the McKinneys, our previous venue closed and we had a hard time getting our money back. We were driving along one day down to Buffalo Gap and A Walk to Remember's sign caught our attention. We turned around and fell in love instantly with the pond on the property.  We had multiple meetings/discussions with Tonya and decided on a Leap Day Wedding! We were expecting just here is the layout and the wedding party handles all the decorating/ extras. But we were surprised and very honored that Tonya went out of her way to make us feel welcome and special to their venue. Ideas, decorations/decorating, the whole nine yards and then some were provided by Tonya. They made our Princess/Prince Wedding pop and even supplied some train items since I love trains. I highly recommend them for any type of celebration and urge anyone to attend any events they host to the public. Tonya and Josh are down home Texas friendly folks and we are very proud we chose A Walk to Remember as our venue.

McKinney Wedding Rescue

Our previous venue took our money and closed without informing us. When we finally realized we had to find another location we contacted A Walk To Remember and they promptly came to the rescue. I’m so thankful for Tonya and her husband.  When wedding day came they were zooming around on their golf carts getting guests from parking area to ceremony location and coordinating to make sure everything went just right. My wedding was beautiful and luckily the weather was perfect. I wish we had found them sooner because I would of like to have my reception there as well but had already made other arrangements. The brides room was awesome and full of photo opportunities and the guys loved their room as well.  If you book this venue you won’t be disappointed.

Large Wedding From Start To Finish

"We had an amazing wedding experience at The Parks Place and it was truly an evening we will remember forever! Everything involved from the planning, organizing, setup, execution, and cleanup made for a great event venue and we highly recommend. The communication with the venue manager was strong and allowed for turning our dream into a reality. Many resources were provided and this made for a much more stress-free experience. Expectations were clearly communicated and everything fell into place nicely. The wedding accommodated a large number of people and it was beautiful! Thanks for providing such a great place, we loved it and can't wait to see all the pictures! We hope to attend someone else's wedding here someday!

Marriage Proposal At The Parks Place

When my son was looking for a place to propose to his girlfriend he knew instantly this was the place.  This venue is absolutely beautiful and I feel the pictures do not give it justice!  Josh and Tonya are so pleasant to work with.  The communication with them is so easy.  Tonya always returned every email or text within minutes.  They were extremely helpful with suggestions, extra decorations, and support. It all turned out better than my son and I had hope that it would!!  Go check it out, you will not be disappointed!!

Quinceanera Celebration

"The traditional ceremony celebrating a girl's 15th birthday couldn't have been more enchanting than Juliet experienced at The Parks Place.  The ambiance, the music, food and dancing done with the Ballet Folklorico made the evening magical.  It was even mentioned that The Parks Place was like the Garden of Eden.  Josh and Tonya Parks have a way of personalizing their events with so many special touches--there is nothing left undone."

AAUW Ice Cream Social

"Our first meeting of the 2017 AAUW Abilene Branch was held at the Parks Place to invite friends to join us for a lovely afternoon. We had a beautiful setting to enjoy ourselves away from the normal restaurant meetings we so frequently host. This late summer activity was a favorite of our membership. Tonya and Josh were such patient hosts to walk us through the many beautiful spots in this special place in the hills of the Buffalo Gap area. A great place to have an occasion that is out of the ordinary."

"Astonishing, Extraordinary, Amazing and Chivalric!  Mere words can't describe the depth of our experience.  The Parks Place is one in a million to hold your venue. Not only can you expect the unexpected but you are going to enter into a journey that will mark your life molding thoughts into reality and turning dreams into lifelong memories.

The Parks, (Tonya and Josh) are professionals beyond reproach. Both bring a depth of mystery and profound understanding of how memories simply come to life before your very eyes. There was never a time anyone could have ask for a more nurturing couple in all phases of the process. From the first meet and greet to the day of the wedding the intensity of their dedication was unwavering.  The last minute ideas were incredible. And most of all I must state for the record, Tonya never came across as pushy with any ideas they shared. It was always in a way it could be added, altered or left out without any pressure along the way. That in its self was so remarkable to experience. Yet her ideas topped each one exponentially and all were used.

We met with a few places in town to compare before making our decision. Honestly after meeting the Parks there was no other place even considered from that day forward. So if you are looking for a place to make memories last a lifetime, look no further. They are continually updating and adding character to the property.

We chose to have them cater our wedding and had nothing but laudatory comments from all folks in attendance.  We chose brisket and it was so moist and flavorful and the sides were to die for. Don't take my word for it, just let them take care of the meal and think nothing more about it.  We had 80 very satisfied folks!"

Spring Garden Wedding

"The Parks Place venue provided the perfect setting for our daughter's spring garden wedding.  Working with Josh and Tonya was a pleasure. From our first consultation to the final clean up, the Parks went above and beyond to make our vision come to life.

Throughout our rehearsal (under the covered pavilion because of a downpour) Josh assured us that they could pump the small "lake" and have it ready for the wedding the next day - and he did! They even surprised the bride and groom by building a beautiful outdoor fire pit with stone seating. They readily shared plants from their greenhouse, decorative accent pieces, and hung fabric curtains of our choosing. Thank you for your part in making our experience memorable."

Beautiful Venue for Wedding

"This was a beautiful venue for our daughter’s June wedding. The simple elegance of a backyard garden party mixed with amazing west Texas views created the perfect spot for the ceremony and reception. Tonya and Josh were so easy to work with and very accommodating as they helped make the day perfect. (They even brought out their kitchen chairs for the bride and groom!) Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was. It was a perfect beginning for our daughter and son-in-law as they began their own “Walk to Remember”!
